Mrs. Yeside Ebunola Akinlabi, currently Director, South West Region holds a B.Sc degree in Biochemistry from the University of Port Harcourt and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental and Analytical Chemistry from Lagos State University.
She joined the services of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria immediately after her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 1988.
She held various positions in SON, including Head, Food Laboratory, Zonal Coordinator, Lagos II, Head, Food Unit Quality Assurance, and Head, ECOWAS Desk Office amongst others.
Mrs. Yeside Akinlabi is a Lead Auditor in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), an Auditor in Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001), Food Safety Management Systems (ISO/ FSSC 22000), and an Assessor, Laboratory Accreditation (ISO 17025).
She attended several training programs within and outside the country.
She is a member of the Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN), the Nigerian Institute of Food Science Technology (NIFST), and the Association of Official Analytical Chemists Sub-Saharan Africa (AOAC-SSA).
Mrs. Yeside Ebunola Akinlabi is happily married with children.
