Mr. Ikhenebome David is an accomplished Microbiologist and Quality Management Professional with over 26 years of experience in laboratory analysis, management, and quality auditing. As the Director of Laboratory Services at the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), he oversees laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards and regulatory requirements. David manages chemical and microbiological analyses of water and food samples, maintains laboratory data management systems and directs quality control and air monitoring processes.
Previously, David served as Technical Manager of the Microbiology Laboratory at SON for four years, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 standards, leading a team in microbiological analyses, and training staff in best practices. As Deputy Quality Manager, he conducted internal audits and developed quality improvement initiatives.
With extensive experience as a Management Systems Auditor and Laboratory System Auditor, David has conducted audits to ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and food safety standards, prepared detailed reports, and provided recommendations for improvement.
Certified as an ISO 17025 Trained Laboratory Competence Auditor and an expert in statistical quality control and laboratory accreditation, David holds an MSc in Microbiology from the University of Benin.
