Mr David S. Okon holds a B.Sc. Accounting degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1986, and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Calabar in 1992. He is also a Fellow of Certified Accountant (FCA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
He started his career as an Accountant with the University of Calabar Teaching hospital in 1988 after National Youth Service. In 1992, he proceeded to work in the Countrywide Savings and Loans Ltd as a treasurer in the then Republic bank group in Lagos. He joined the service of CHI-group, Ajao Estate, Lagos in 1993 as an Accountant, a position he held up till 1996 when he took up an appointment as a Principal Accountant with Standards Organization of Nigeria till date.
Mr David Okon’s dedication and hard work has endeared him to many particularly in his effort in developing and building an enduring accounting system for SON.
He also participates in designing policies that has enhanced organizational growth and human capital development. My vision is to support the organization to achieve its set mandate and build capacity for National growth and development.
