The IAFs are the Independent Accredited Firms (IAFs) engaged to conduct offshore Conformity Assessments, on behalf of Standards Organisations of Nigeria, to address the challenges of the incessant influx of substandard and unsafe products into the country. They also issue test reports, Product and SONCAP certificates from accredited laboratories.
There are four (4) Independent Accredited Firms (IAFs) managing the SONCAP offshore process. The names of the IAFs are listed below:
- COTECNA Inspection Limited (COTECNA)
- Bureau Veritas (BV)
- China Standard Inspection Company (CSIC)
- China Hansom Inspection & Certification Co., Ltd (CHICC).
