Mr. Bashir Hamis is the Director of the Legal Services Department, Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) responsible for drafting and reviewing Agreements and relevant Regulatory documents as well as providing legal advice to the Chief Executive and Management.     Mr. Hamis holds an LL.B (Hons) degree from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria, and a BL from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos with about 30 years of cognate experience in both the private and public sectors in Nigeria.

Mr. Hamis served with the Cross River State Water Board, Calabar between 1992-’93   Having proved his mettle in the private sector industry, Mr. Hamis returned to Public Service as Head of the Legal Section, Special Enforcement Unit, Federal Inland Revenue Service from 2010 to 2015. In the course of his service with the FIRS, he served as Assistant Director/Head of the Quality Assurance Unit in the Policies and Programmes Monitoring Department where he oversaw the activities of the Quality Assurance Unit.
